Xia Zhiyu, Young Fresh Chin Part II
Third Pre-Release Single, "Rap"

When he started rapping,
not in Queens,
but in the shantytown!

When he started rapping,
he levered the gears of fate into motion;
the void became sacred!

When he started rapping,
who cares about cultural background—
his brain was like shooting a movie!

When he started rapping,
like a true star,
he took a ride to the county town and bought the most expensive sound system!

A hymn to fate in tribute to rap!
Dedicated to the youthful fantasies of the streets!

A survival record written down with pen and paper—
is it surreal or hyperrealistic?

Is it hyper-magical,
or hyper-romantic?

Rap Romanticist Xia Zhiyu
took three years to powerfully continue
Young Fresh Chin Part II

A social documentary film that does not exist at all!
A cruel film soundtrack written for the times!

What's more, a brilliant hip-hop album entirely sampled from Chinese pop music!
