Eight years after the release of his debut solo album Boy,

Lu1 spent seven years meticulously refining his second solo album, “blue.”

Still starting from personal feeling, after closely observing his inner world, he independently completed the lyrics and composition for the entire album.

“blue” documents Lu1’s heartbreak after losing love.

This is an album with ambient and atmospheric production at its core.

Lu1 serves as executive producer. With the assistance of Mintone Records’ star producer MAJOR YAO, and with Los Angeles as the production center, it brings together a powerful lineup of outstanding musicians from around the world:

Germany’s J.Lamotta, France’s Crayon, the UK’s Paul Norris, Japan’s grooveman Spot, Mahya, and Kashif (PPP).

In China, in addition to inviting longtime collaborators Li Dingding, Baitian Buliang, 14?, and 56loopy, it also gathers cross-genre contributions from musicians such as Xu Bo (P.K.14), Luo Keju, An Yu, and Zhang Xiongguan.

Blending ambient electronic, jazz, R&B, City Pop, indie rock, gospel, and many other styles, while maintaining extremely high musicality, it still preserves a high degree of “blue” emotional unity, ensuring the album remains smooth and listenable throughout.
